Colectivo Creative is a  Design + Build firm based in Austin, TX; we believe in the active collaboration between designers, clients, consultants, craftsmen, and artisans and embrace the challenges of site and budget to inspire highly creative, cost-effective solutions.

Each project begins by developing a thorough understanding of the client, their needs, and the site.  Once that is established, the project team draws from their experiences in professional practice and life to create an elegant solution.  Clean forms, warm materials, and the importance of detail are incorporated from conception and allow for an aesthetic that is thoughtful, intriguing, and, ultimately… comfortable.

dorian quiroga

senior Principal/owner

Dorian’s passion for integrating contemporary Mexican architecture with a minimalistic approach brings a fresh perspective to Austin. Before founding Colectivo Creative, his design journey began at ISAD University of Architectural Design in his home state of Chihuahua, MX, where he acquired his degree and license in architecture. Over the past decade, since he arrived in Austin, TX, Dorian has worked in all aspects of architecture, from design and construction to landscape design to structural engineering. He approaches each project with a minimalistic intervention using natural materials, textures, and space. When not working, Dorian can be found exploring his new hometown of Austin. He is especially fond of a good patio with live music and a quality selection of craft beer.

/PROJECT MANAGER & plant designer

Itzel has a passion for bringing to life any idea that comes to her head. Plants are part of her everyday life at home and work. Her first opportunity to develop herself as a project manager started she moved from Chihuahua, Mexico, to Austin to form a family with Lia, her 7-year-old daughter, and her husband, Dorian. Itzel is seeking to develop herself as a manager for Colectivo Creative, which can overcome any challenge that construction and design can bring. Whenever she can find the time, she enjoys traveling with her family, going out for a drink, and having a good talk.

The Colectivo Creative team is highly professional, attentive to detail, responsive, and a true pleasure to work with

Dorian is a genius! He listens, is a very talented designer and more importantly Colectivo Creative delivers exactly what he promises

Colectivo Creative was able to blend modern landscape elements with a more classic craftsman home, and the results are beautiful.

Dorian and the entire Colectivo Creative team were an absolute joy to work with. We had a unique challenge given some atypical elevation in our backyard, but Dorian's creativity prevailed!

Colectivo Creative completely nailed it on the first round! He heard everything I wanted and captured the vibe perfectly. And then the build started.
